Happy Birthday Hayley!

It's so hard to believe Hayley turned 7 today! Where did the time go?!?!?!?

She started her day with waffles & sausage and presents....then off to do 18 holes of golf with Dad....then we all went to see Ratatouille.....then to Toys R Us to spend a little birthday moolah....then dinner at Famous Dave's. Yikes, I'm tired! :)

Oh wait, I forgot one thing....she got her ears pierced today!!! :) So very cool, she was pretty nervous going into it but afterwards she said it hurt less than she expected. She picked out earrings with her birthstone (ruby) and can't wait to get some "real" earrings. Here are a couple pictures of our SEVEN year old. (wow)

Sometimes kids say words incorrectly and they sound so cute. Awww. However. When you try to SPELL said word, it brings on a whole new meaning!!! Like how Ainsley says computer.

A few pics from Seaside...
Just some background on Dan's grumpy face - the day we went on the pedal boats, the tide had just happened to come in and the wind picked up. So pedaling all four of us in that boat, against the tide AND the wind was quite the workout! So Dan was a bit on the grumpy side. But the return trip was easy. :)
Still not sure how Hayley got a sandy, lip-shaped mark on her head - it was pretty cute. :)

Sand in your toes....
...though it typically doesn't sound like a "good" thing to want, those of you that are beach lovers like myself (once a SoCal girl, ALWAYS a SoCal girl) understand that unmatchable feeling of getting your toes in some nice soft beach sand. We just returned from our annual trek to Seaside, Oregon. LOVE that place. And it still surprises me that a beach that nice can be that empty in the middle of July. Nothing at all like Zuma in the summer!!! I'll post more pics soon but just wanted to put this one in....ahh, I can feel the sand now. Hmm, as a matter of fact, since we just got home yesterday, I think I still HAVE sand in my toes! Not that that's a BAD thing, mind you. :)
